Newports Institute of Communication and Economics is an academic and research institution based in Karachi, offers higher education services in multiple disciplines since its inception in 2002. The Institute conducted a session on “Key factors Affecting the Higher Education”. The QEC, Superior University participated in the above said session and contributed in broadening the understanding about the factors, i.e., Physical Facilities, High Admission Rate of Students, Teaching Methodology, Lack of professional development among the Teaching Staff, class size, Quality Education (Superior University secured 1st Position in Quality Education in THE Impact Ranking). The above shared factors considered the key factors affecting the Higher Education.

To submit the documents in HEC yearly bases is a rigorous activity and demands full devotion and full year of dedicated work. To make this practice easy and more understandable for Universities, a ZOOM session was conducted and QEC department participated in that session. It was very informative session and provided good understanding about filling the documents to HEC.

QEC team joined the session and participated in a comprehensive discussions to high light the Quality Assurance Challenges and Solutions. Mr. Qamer Ahmed, Deputy Director QEC participated in workshop on “HEC National Ranking ” was organized by Higher Education Commission (HEC) Regional Center, Lahore in which detailed parameters of Ranking have been discussed on July 26th 2023.
A workshop on “How to write Self- Assessment Report” was organized by Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), Superior University, Lahore on Feb 15th 2022. The workshop was organized for program team members of ART & Design and Engineering & Technology programs. Mr. Shahzad Khurrum was the resource person, He elaborated the process of self-assessment and objectives of self-assessment, defined roles of Program teams (PTs).
